Fastest Healthy Fast Food Ever! Skinny Shrimp, Avocado and Vegetables

I challenge anyone to drive to a fast food restaurant and grab a greasy burger faster than this 10 minute dinner!

Fast Food Skinny Shrimp, Avocado and Vegetables Recipe:

  • Start heating up a few inches of water in bottom of metal steamer pot.
  • Chop fresh vegetables, toss on some frozen ones, and place in insert.
  • Cover and steam in the pot for several minutes.
  • Pull out frozen cooked tail-on shrimp and toss in during final minutes.
  • Slice an avocado on your plate.

Done in minutes!

Hints:  Buy a large frozen bag of shrimp to keep in your freezer.   Look for it on sale to save money while saving your health from fast food chains.

Other hints:  Following my two-hand grab of two avocados a week at the store, you will typically have it on hand for this fast dinner any time.  Same with the fresh vegetables in your frig that gets replenished by your store visit every three days.  AND, if you don’t have fresh ones, it’s still no excuse for the drive-through.  Use your inexpensive frozen bags of vegetables that should be stored in your freezer if following the Easy Skinny Life plan.

What pot do I use?  I’ve been asked by many readers about the steamer pot I use.  It’s actually a large “pasta steamer” converted by me into a huge vegetable steamer for extra plates and leftovers of the good stuff.  Find it at http://easyskinnylife.com/my-store/  if you are interested!  I use it almost every day.
