Farmers Market – The Skinny Secret

Weekends are my time to “double-up” in workouts, but also in grocery shopping.  In addition to my fast stop at my usual local store, I hit the Farmer’s Market to buy in-season, super sweet fruit in bulk. 

Then I store it in air-tight freezer containers for months of use to top off my plain Greek yogurt or slow-coated oatmeal.  Sugar is NEVER missed!

Freezing berries and sliced fruit is easy.  Store them separately in small to medium containers, then defrost as needed in the refrigerator.  I scoop out a handful for fast use on top of breakfast to add colorful sweetness, antioxidants, and filling fiber to last me until lunch.
